The recreation of a sweater featured in our 1900 catalogue. This is a traditional submariner sweater in deep navy 100% British wool. Manufactured for us in the UK to the same specification as the original World War II Royal Navy issue. The Chainstitch 'Industry' embroidery was created by hand. The outcome is a beautiful, original piece of knitwear all made and finished for us in the UK.


This piece is really special - it’s been a long held ambition to bring the Industry Submariner to life.

First seen in our archive 1900 catalogue, the ‘Yachtsman’s Navy Jersey’ has been resurrected using the best of British craftsmanship. Historically a vessel’s name would be embroidered to identify crew. We offered this service in-house at the cost of 2d per letter.
