The Captain's Coat - Navy

Taking Inspiration from our archive Deal Coat featured in the 1905 catalogue, the Captain’s coat is designed to be hard wearing and durable. It serves perfectly as an overcoat to the various suits that we make. The Coat can be layered with the Reversible Vest for added warmth and insulation during colder months.

Made from hard wearing 100% cotton half panama weave cloth, the Captain’s coat has beautiful texture and a softness that will continue to develop with age and wear.

We have incorporated a contrast corduroy lined collar for softness and a throat latch fastening for added warmth. The jacket fastens with large etched corozo nut buttons , made for us in the Cotswolds, UK. The cuffs have adjustable fastening with brass press studs. There are two generous front pockets with flaps, there’s also an internal chest pocket. The Captains Coat is fully lined with lightweight cotton Silesia.

All the Coats are sequentially numbered by the maker on the inside label as they leave our sewing room.
